Proud Peasant started as the brainchild of guitarist/composer Xander Rapstine, who wrote the three songs that make up the debut album, Flight, after leaving his more conventional rock band, The Evildoers. Flight was released in 2014 to considerable acclaim in the progressive world, making several end-of-year best of lists.
